Controls
Radiant Optics has controls for both
gas
and electric heaters. The
controls have be designed and selected to be used with long wave
infrared heating.
In the case of electric heating the current/voltage ratings
given are for linear resistive loads.
The ratings may not be applicable
to tungsten
loads that have an extremely high inrush on making or inductive
loads that draw a significant arc on breaking.
Tungsten is the common heating element in medium wave, short
wave, and halogen-tungsten heaters.
The controls are applicable without de-rating for
resistance wire such as Nichrome™,
Monel™, as well as many other alloys
use for
heating wires.
