Fall/Winter 2008 Schaefer Ventilation Equipment Inc., manufacturer of the HotZone™ family of high intensity infrared heaters and other innovative and efficient thermal comfort solutions announces the introduction of four new electric HotZone™ heaters for industrial, commercial and residential applications. The new heaters are the HotZone™ Patio Heater, the HotZone™ Portable Heater, the HotZone™ Wall Mount (Plug) Heater and the HotZone™ Universal Fixed Mount Heater. Each of the heaters incorporates Schaefer's aesthetically pleasing, curved back, high intensity electric infrared heater head with the traditional compound reflective IRLens™ which focuses up to 5 times as much infrared energy into the central beam than an infrared heater without a lens. The highly efficient 1500 watt HotZone™ heaters raise the temperature of people and objects in a 14 square foot area by 15 degrees or more from 8 feet away. The HotZone™ Patio Heater is intended for all-weather residential or commercial patio use. The HotZone™ Portable Heater is intended for shop floor or lobby use. The HotZone™ Universal Fixed Mount Heater mounts directly to wall or ceiling junction boxes in a wide variety of applications and the HotZone™ Wall Mount Heater is a more flexible wall-mounted heater also for a wide variety of uses. Several of the heaters are available in both 1500 and 3000 watt versions and all are available in the most useful voltages. The heaters that are not wall or ceiling mounted have on/off switches and tip switches to reduce the risk of fire in the case of tipping over. MN 6/1/08 On June 1, 2008 Schaefer Ventilation of Sauk Rapids, MN exclusively licensed the intellectual property and other assets for the manufacturing and distribution of HotZone™ heaters from Radiant Optics.Schaefer has been developing, manufacturing and distributing innovative ventilation and thermal comfort solutions since 1951. Schaefer had been a reseller of HotZone™ heaters since 1999.It is Schaefer's intention to continue developing radiant heating products utilizing the IRLens™ and under the HotZONE™ brand for agricultural, industrial, commercial, government and home markets.
Seattle, WA 9/6/07 Seattle's beautiful, new, environmentally conscious central library now has electric HotZone™ heaters with individual on/off and dimming controls installed over the check-in/check-out stations near the 4th Avenue entrance. The heaters complement the library's design and are a great solution for a tough thermal comfort problem. |
