Situation The
check-in/check-out desk is located in a high ceiling room, close to
the main doors. On cold days the central heating system was
incapable of keeping the receptionists warm enough and most of them
resorted to placing small space heaters under their workstations
and/or wearing coats at work
Solution Installed a
bank of 6-1500W electric heaters above and slightly behind the
workstations. The heaters are controlled with a remote master
on/off and remote individual dimmers, allowing the receptionists to
achieve their own comfort level. The heaters were left unpainted,
to match the look of the library.
